Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest and most famous safari destination, spanning nearly 20,000 square kilometers across the northeastern provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga. It is one of Africa’s oldest and most well-managed game reserves, renowned for offering some of the best wildlife viewing on the continent.

Home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—Kruger also supports over 500 bird species, 147 mammal species, and countless reptiles and plants. The park’s diverse landscapes range from open savannah and dense bush to rivers and woodlands, providing rich habitats for a wide variety of wildlife.

Visitors can explore Kruger through self-drive safaris, guided game drives, or walking safaris, with accommodation options ranging from basic campsites to luxury private lodges in adjacent private reserves like Sabi Sand and Timbavati.

With its excellent infrastructure, accessibility, and wildlife diversity, Kruger is ideal for both first-time visitors and seasoned safari enthusiasts.
